Mountains and Motorcycles--Here We Come!!!

It is time to load all of our gear and head for the mountains!

After almost a year of no rain and nearly 3 months over 100 degrees....we have been begging, yes, begging, for this day to come when we can head for the Golden Aspen Rally in New Mexico.

This year the rally will be held at the Inn of the Mountain Gods between Ruidoso, NM and Mescalero, NM----and it is absolutely beautiful there if you have never been before! Mountains and more mountains, incredible rides to Cloudcroft, NM and over to the No Scum Allowed Saloon in White Oak, NM...and the Golden Aspen Rally itself to browse and search out all the latest doo dads for your bike---and, of course, find us and get the best LED lighting packages in the business installed on your motorcycles and trikes! Then go compete in the Lighted Bike show and Lighted Bike Parade!

Black Gold Rally 2011

It was July, so it was time once again for the Black Gold Rally in Goldsmith, TX!

Renegade Lights was there in Goldsmith installing motorcycle L.E.D. lights on motorcycles, golfcarts...you name it we put l.e.d. lights on it!

This rally is put on each year by some of the nicest folks in West Texas and for a great cause: The Food Bank of West Texas.

We expect heat and sand (it is West Texas after all!)---but, wow! was it ever hot and sandy this year!

We installed motorcycle lights in the heat, we installed
L.E.D. lights on motorcycles in the cool of the night, the fellows worked till they couldn't work anymore :-)

We enjoyed every moment with our great buddies from Cowboy Trikes! We met a great possible new dealer, John, from Colorado. We saw so many of our wonderful previous customers and made some new friends with our new customers.

Republic of Texas Rally, Austin 2011

WOW! ROT was one hot rally this year! But, if you made it through the day and survived the week then that means you had a great time in Austin this year.
It was a great time seeing old friends and customers and meeting new ones. We had a great cook out with all of our dealers attending ROT this year and Adam introduced us all to his HID headlights for motorcycles---we do think these are an awesome new product for motorcycles and will increase safety for all riders. Ralph is currently installing one on his bike and is looking forward to a ride with it tonight!
Motorcycle L.E.D. lights are still a hot item in Austin and I think each of the dealers there( Renegade Lights --Ralph and Donna; Metal Empire--Adam and Jemma; TnT Renegade Lights--Larry and Bryan; and SouthernLights LEDs--Tim and Kenny) all did as many bikes as they were capable of doing and left the rally with alot of satisfaction in a job well done.
Even though I dread the heat of Austin each year.....I'm still looking forward to next year already and who we will get to meet there and along the way.

Thunder in the Hill Country Rally

We had an awesome time at the Thunder in the Hill Country Rally in Bandera, TX! Perfect weather for a rally and riding in the incredible Hill Country of Texas. It was our 1st time at this rally, but, we found plenty of our old friends there from near and far away and they were happy to see Renegade Lights there.

One of the beautiful bikes that we had the priviledge to install LED lights on was Julio's Yamaha Raider. We kew it would look beautiful, but above is a picture that Julio sent us when he got home and below is what he said about it:

"Just a quick note to tell you that the compliments keep coming about the great light kit you installed on my Yamaha Raider-no one loves it more than my wife though!"

Nothing makes us happier than a customer that loves their lights! Thank you Julio and Rosie for letting us light up your bike!!

Spring Is Here!

Spring is here, the motorcycles are serviced and ready to get out on the road---longer rides, out to dinner, over to friends' houses---not just riding in the daylight hours, but, in the evenings and well after dark in the warm springtime weather. Have you ever taken a good look at your bike in the dark......from the side......stepping back 20, 30, 40 feet from it? What do you see? How visible is your bike? Have you ever seriously looked at your bike imagining what a cage driver sees as they scan an intersection before they drive on through or turn at the intersection---is there anything about your bike that says "Hellooo! I am in this intersection also! See me!" If not and if you do alot of riding in the evening and night hours---isn't it worth your life and your family's to do something to make yourself visible?

Baby It's Cold Out There!

Yes, it is! But, very soon it is going to 100% riding weather and it's time to get those bikes ready.

Now is the time to get speaker systems installed so you can listen to your music as you roll down a hot highway.

Next, it's time to get those LED lights on your bike! When that hot day turns into a beautiful evening as the sun begins to set off in the west and the air begins to cool----it's time to turn on your LED lights and keep on rolling--because now all those other vehicles can see you and you will be safer out there!

So, while it's so cold out there, let's spend some quality time on those bikes and dream of the soon to be here hot days of summer!

Happy New Year from Renegade Lights!

We have had both a Very Wonderful 2010 with Renegade Lights, but also, a very long and sad year with the loss of far too many brothers and sisters on bikes.

Our wish for everyone in the New Year is for everyone to ride as safe as possible with the awareness that none of those cars or trucks are looking out for you--ride defensively! Make your motorcycle as visible as possible after dark so the cars and trucks just might see you and not turn into you -- Renegade Lights! And for all of us who ride to do our part--ride responsibly, don't ride stupid--PLEASE!

What a great time had by all at the 2010 White Buffalo Bikefest! Amazing what kind of rally a West Texas town can put on and the turn out of riders made it great.

We installed l.e.d. lights for motorcycles till we couldn't do anymore and had to call it quits.

It is always so good to see and visit with some of our favorite folks in the world! And we can't wait to do it all over again next year!

At Renegade Lights we value each and every customer we meet at the rallies, that we speak with over the phone, or communicate with via email-----some of our customers have become personal friends, others we look for from rally to rally---but each and everyone is important to us.
I know that this is true not just to Ralph and I, but to our dealers across the country also--one of the 1st things dealers mention after a couple of rallies is what wonderful people they have met.
One of the best things that happens is when a customer writes to us and lets us know what their experience has been with Renegade Lights---we love it and always look forward to it.
Below is a comment that was sent to us from Vernon in Waxahatchie, TX:
"I am a small business owner south of the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Over the past 5 years I have bought and sold several motorcycles. I also have repaired and lit friends and co-workers motorcycles. Early on the l.e.d.s were pod lights and then I graduated up to wizard. Last year I purchased a Big Dog K9 and for Christmas my wife purchased a set of Renegade Lights. We can't believe it is already July! AspenCash in Ruidoso, NM--Republic of Texas in the great city of Austin, TX---Wet n Wild in Graham, TX---they are already over and part of the great year we are having---2010 is most definitely a great year for Renegade Lights!

You can't beat Ruidoso, NM in May--what beautiful weather and great riding for all who were there--and it was the best crowd in several years. We are so sad that Claud and Kay couldn't be there this Spring---but we bet they will be there and Claud will have bells on in September rarin' to ride!! Can't wait to be back there in September for the Golden Aspen rally and maybe a few extra days to play ourselves:-)

ROT in Austin---what can you say? The weather cooperated! Great people, great music, great business! 2 new Renegade Lights dealers attending for the 1st time and they learned what ROT is all about. Thank you to all of the returning customers with new bikes we are so proud that you bring your new bikes and friend's bikes to us---that means so much to us! Welcome and thank you to all the new Renegade Lights customers! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting and working with each and every one of you!

The re-incarnated Wet n Wild rally in Graham, TX---the move was hard for Vickie and J.R., but they found a beautiful venue on the Brazos River and this will be a rocking rally in future years!

Now, on to Black Gold Biker Rally, Rally in the Crater, Golden Aspen, White Buffalo, and LoneStar!

Dixie Renegade Lights is moving to the great state of Georgia and will be at a rally near you soon! (watch out Milledgeville:-)
Jeff and Kathy are getting loaded up for their big move this week and will be in their new home next week. It will leave us, their adopted parents, very sad, lonely, and technology impaired---but it is a good thing for the South and South East--because you will be getting the Absolute Best in LED Light installers in your own backyard.
Jeff and Kathy have lit up all the motorcycles they can for the Marine Reserves in Lubbock, TX---now, they will be out there getting every Marine in Georgia and North Carolina lit up---along with alot of other bikes.
We could not ask for better representatives of Renegade Lights and we are very proud of them and very much look forward to visiting them!

TMRA State Rally in Snyder, Texas

Spring has arrived and as more riders hit the road for a nice Saturday or Sunday ride, load up to head for a great rally, or head out to see buddies they haven't seen since last summer---we need to remember the organizations who work to keep motorcycle riders rights in front of the states' governments to help all of us who ride or have family/friends who ride.

One such organization is the Texas Motorcycle RoadRiders Association (TMRA). The TMRA is: "is the largest association of clubs and individuals in the State of Texas. For over 30 years we have stood for the rights, education, fellowship, and communication for Texas riders."

This last week end Renegade Lights had the opportunity to be a vendor at the State Rally for TMRA in Snyder, TX. We had a great time there, met some really great folks, installed way more LED lights and Speaker systems than we ever imagined that we would and just generally had a great week end with the TMRA people.

We would like to give a big thank you to "Preacher" and the rest of the TMRA staff for a great rally----and of course, as always, to the city of Snyder, TX.

Sadly, not all the photos of the great bikes we installed lights on will make it up onto the website due to camera issues---but the ones that will are great!

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

It seems very hard to imagine that very soon it will be riding season for many of us! But, it really is just around the corner. I know that we at Renegade Lights who have been snowed in are past ready to get the bikes and trike out of the garage and on the road!

We received a wonderful Facebook testimonial from Rick Herbert:

'I had my bike "lit up" in Snyder last year, suffered a major wreck, and the lights still burn bright....thanks Renegade!'

We are very happy that Rick is well, very much wish he had not been involved in a wreck--but, we are happy that the workmanship and quality installation of Rick's lights survived the wreck.

Rally schedules will be posted soon---look for us on the West Coast, in Vegas and Laughlin, all over Texas, and in the SouthEast in the fall. Also, this is the 70th Anniversary for Sturgis and we will be there ready to light up your rides!

We are happy to welcome in this new year and getting it going with a bang!
New items we will be carrying this year include the speaker systems (3 different flavors), pre-loaded MP3 Players for those at the rallies who don't have their's with them:-) and want something to use with those shiny new speaker systems, replacement LED taillight and turn signal bulbs--both the 1156/1157 and the 3156/3157. We are still trying out and deciding on a couple of other items that we think our customers might want.

Those of us at Renegade Lights would like to wish everyone we have met along the road, and at home, this year a wonderful New Year! Each of you have made this past year a great year for business, but more importantly, each of you have given us your smiles, handshakes, and hugs.

In our part of the world (Texas) we still get some days and evenings during this time of year when it is beautiful to ride. This past week end it was a great ride out to the Texas Boy's Ranch to play Santa and give back a little for what we have been given. Then it was out to eat with a great group of friends---since it gets dark so early these days we get to use our LED lights for even more time----makes you feel a little like Rudolf the red nosed reindeer leading the way!

When you ride at night be safe and be seen. Motorcycle LED accent lighting can increase your visibility to other vehicles.
As you go through intersections you lack the size and shape of cars/trucks which most drivers are looking for. With lighting on your motorcycle you are increasing your chances that you will be seen by the other drivers by being noticeable with the color(s) shining on and around your motorcycle and by the lights also giving the impression of your motorcycle taking up more space---thereby reducing the chance of one of them pulling out into you.
We as riders cannot make other drivers look for us as they should---but, we can make it easier for them to see us in another form of defensive riding.
So..Be safe and be seen!

Loading in our new speaker systems on the shelves! Installed the 1st one we received as a sample on Donna's VW trike to try it out----now can't get her off the trike! She can hear it clearly over the motor sound of her trike and the sound of my bike. Ahe's singing along as she goes on down the road ;-)

We have 3 different sets of speakers from 100watt to 300 watt----so check'em out!
